100 years ago 24 young men, who lived in In Corby Glen, died during World War 1.This year you can go to Willoughby Art Gallery for more information about the 24 soldiers who died and men who took part as well. At Corby Glen School we are making something special to put outside of the school grounds to show our gratitude. If you want to see, it will be on show at Sunday 11th November.
We have interviewed some students:
Lizzy: “I think that Remembrance day is a respectful time to think about those soldiers who sacrificed their lives knowing that we will have a free country.”
Meredith: “ I think that Remembrance day is a peaceful time to be grateful to the ones that helped this country be what it is now.”
Amber: “ I think that Remembrance day is a nice celebration to remember those who gave their lives so we could live ours in freedom.”
What do you think about our plans for Remembrance Day?
